Women 30 years and older and men 35 years and older are eligible to join the VVCC.

All riders must be current VVCC members. Two free try out races (within a 30 day period) are available to people who have never raced with the Vets before.

How the Race Unfolded.
The light north easterly produced a side head wind from Stawell out to the turn just short of Landsborough West. Peter Mayo arrived first at the turn averaging 25.4kph into the wind, and two and a half minutes in front of Meg Parnaby, who proved to be the most consistent on the day, averaging 29.1kph both out to the turn and on the return journey to the top of Big Hill.

Second scratch averaged 34.28kph to the turn, but slowed a little on the return journey to average 33.76kph to the top of the hill. Scratch arrived at the turn 5 minutes and 15 seconds later, having averaged 38.96kph to the turn. They also slowed a little on the return jouney but not as much as second scratch, and caught them with 1.5km to go.

Meg Parnaby arrived at the top of Big Hill first, 45 seconds ahead of Frank Kean, who was followed closely by Steve Monks and Sean Prins.
