Women 30 years and older and men 35 years and older are eligible to join the VCV.

All riders must be current VCV members. Two free try out races (within a 30 day period) are available to people who have never raced with the Vets before.

Race Notes
The race produced a very close finish at the top of the mount, with second limit rider Tim Schneider just getting the better of limit rider Tony Lloyd with about 120 metres to go, and taking out the race by 3 seconds over Lloyd, with the fast finishing scratch riders another 13 seconds behind. Crystal Wemyss took out third place and fastest time, only 2 seconds ahead of Alan McCulloch, with Peter Wemyss another 8 seconds further back.
